"Caution! Do Not Drink the Water..." & Other 301 Endless Yard Sale Finds

Thursday, July 2, 2015

Hello... a year later!
Quite a long hiatus, right?
Thinking of giving this blog thing another go...

Ironically,
the last post I did a little over a year ago, also featured the 301 Endless Yardsale
through North Carolina.

Not sure how many years the sale has been going on...
this was my second hitting Highway 301 in Dunn on Friday, June 19th.
This year, we traveled as far as Wilson, but the sale continued on 301 to the
Virginia line, 100 miles of glorious JUNK!
The two day sale didn't offer nearly the number of vendors as it did last year on Friday.
But from accounts from fellow junkers, Saturday was in full force!

I closed my "junk business" at the end of June,
so this year I was shopping for personals...

If you're reading this post, just maybe it was the title that grabbed your attention
and sparked your curiosity.
Found many unique signs and items for our lake house,
including the quirky fish one above.
Call it a weird sense of humor, but I figured my guests wouldn't soon forget it!

The old minnow buckets were picked up at two different locations,
both for a great price, too!
More cool pieces to display at the lake!

The old fisherman's storybook, published in the 1940's, was a favorite find!

The older I get, the more I grow to love North Carolina memorabilia.
The old metal NC plate was only a $1.00!

My last purchase of the day was the old Purina feed bag.
Not sure where or how it will be used.
For now, it's going in my "stash of laters!"

My husband's find of the day was the neatest old, little riding lawnmower.
Being a nostalgic fellow himself, his dad had one similar when he was a young boy.  The mower is so small, it only took up about half of the cargo area of the Surburban.  ...and it runs like a top!

I have one more find to share which is sporting a new makeover,
more on that next week!

Until then, hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July Weekend!
