Pecans... Do You Love Them?

In a couple of months, in our little town
we'll be celebrating the favored nut of the south... the pecan.

As with any good festival,
The NC Pecan Festival consists of a celebrity queen, parade, street fairs,
home tour, etc, etc. etc...

Years ago, our home was on the festival home tour.
This year, I'm thinking I'll try the cooking contest.
The contest covers several categories of foods,
with a cup of pecans included the main criteria.

I've been browsing Pinterest looking for ideas for a dessert.
I sure am going to enjoy practicing some of these that I found,
although my hips might not appreciate it! ha!

    A local restaurant serves pecan cobbler - sort of like a deep dish pecan pie with lots of crust - it is sooo good!
