About a month ago, I found a couple of neat old box springs at a friend and fellow
vendor's booth, Wholehearted & Co, at Carolina Country Peddlers Mall,
in Lumberton, NC.
I no longer have a booth there, but I sure love to visit!
Back to the springs...
I had grand visions of them holding cute eggs in an Easter vignette.
I gathered two large plastic eggs from my stash, and painted them with chalk paint...
But they were really dull... downright boring...
That would never do!
So I added moss to the surface of the eggs,
taking them from bland to
Much more interesting, don't you think?
Placed Easter grass on the bottom of the spring.
Added the springs and eggs to an Easter vignette on top of the
Antique Icebox in the kitchen.
I like to add a little touch of unexpected, whimsy to my decor... the springs fit the bill!
The little metal frog, below, is perfect for holding pictures, quotes, or scriptures.
And on another note, I received the most wonderful surprise in the mail last week!
I won the fabulous give-away, below, sponsored by Laura at White Spray Paint,
one of the lovely hostesses of the Thoughts of Home Blog Party.
I am beyond excited and can't wait to enjoy all this beauty and pampering!
Not saying this just because I won, but this is one of the nicest give-aways
I've seen offered in blogland!
Thanks so much Laura, your generosity is very much appreciated! :)
Hope you all have a great week!
~Rhonda
