Bello Market at Mistletoe Market Monday

Thursday, December 5, 2013

"Decking the halls" is in full swing across the land,
...and so are the Holiday Markets and craft fairs.

As part of The Festival of Trees, hosted by Lower Cape Fear Hospice in our little town,  a Mistletoe Market Monday was incorporated into the festivities.  The Market was a new addition to the festival this year.

Among vendors offering jewelry, handbags, hand painted Christmas crafts, baked goods, fresh greenery wreaths, and monogrammed accessories, Bello Market was the only one of it's kind, with vintage wares and upcycled painted furniture pieces.  This was a new experience for me as well, selling at a show "live."  I currently have Bello Market in two antique malls, a booth at Carolina Country Peddlers Mall, Lumberton,  NC, and Golden Leaf Antique Market, Mullins, SC.  I enjoyed interacting with the customers.  So many have a love for vintage goods and love to swap stories of past relics and family treasures.

Below are pictures taken from Monday evening.  Please excuse the picture quality!  My laptop has been ailing for some time, so these unedited photos and post are coming from my Samsung Note.  A slight blogging disadvantage that has prevented blogging for several months.

Pictures are in no particular order...

Barn stars above, made from old tobacco sticks.   I had a red one also, sold before the picture was taken.

The vintage Taylor Tot Stroller was a great conversation piece!

"Suitcase Sign" made from a vintage suitcase painted with chalkboard paint.

The blue chair with burlap fleur fabric seat was sold as soon as it was placed in the booth!

...until later, Rhonda  :)
