Roses on my Table

"I'd rather have...

 "roses on my table..."

"than diamonds on my neck."
~Emma Goldman

The vintage Ball jars were found at the Carolina Country Peddler's Mall,
where I have a booth, for $3.00 a piece!

But, oh no.. the bargains for this arrangement didn't stop with the quaint jars.
The roses were purchased at Aldi's for $3.99 for a half dozen!
Cheap and beautiful ...music to my ears!!!

This arrangement makes me smile...
reminding me of my Grandmother Maybell,
who was known far and wide for her beautiful rose gardens.
They were her pride and joy.
As tight as she was, and she was extremely TIGHT,
she only bought the very best bushes, from a mail order catalog!

"Some people are always grumbling
because roses have thorns.
I am thankful that thorns have roses."
~Alphonse Karr
