Let's escape the wet, dreary weather of the past couple of days
for just a few moments,
and take a little trek down to the Sunshine State,
...to visit The Back Yard.
Mr. Ramblings and I took a short trip to Florida last month,
and stumbled upon The Barn,
a fascinating complex consisting of an antique store, two intriguing gift shops,
restaurant, and a plant nursery.
restaurant, and a plant nursery.
The post highlighting the gift shops can be seen {here}.
You may imagine you're dab smack in the middle a tree house,
while browsing through the shop part of The Back Yard,
where a huge tree grows right through the center!
The grounds are covered with gorgeous flowers, unique cement statues,
a variety of planters, and metal decorative pieces.
I adore the foxglove pictured below,
...one plant I've always wanted to try but never have.
Shroomyz...
are they not precious, {below}!
I love Savannah Girl Statues.
One day I may break down and buy one. :)
I came so close to bringing home a smaller version of the sweet girl,
which I'd never seen this size before.
I sure regret leaving her behind!
FYI...
Did you know that Saturday is
World Gardening Naked Day!
Nope, I kid you you not!
{I won't subject ya'll to an image! ha!}
It's celebrated internationally the first Saturday of May, annually.
I don't think I'll be participating! :)
Anyhow, hope you enjoyed the tour of The Back Yard.
And don't forget, the gift shops at The Barn,
featuring beautiful home decor can be seen {here}.
Lots of rich inspiration in their over-the-top displays.

What a treasure trove Rhonda! Someone has a very creative imagination around that place, it's a fairy tale wonder land! As for National Garden Naked day, well I am not a gardener, can't even grow weeds, so phew, I don't have to participate!
