As has much of the rest of the country,
it seems we slipped back to winter over the past few days.
Upper 50's, tomorrow's temps are predicted to hit the mid 70's,
...pure craziness, huh?
Anyhow, being that it was too cold to be out, and even more so too windy,
I thought it made for the perfect "stay inside and craft your little heart out" weekend!
I ran across a post from The Snug trending on Facebook,
Loving the spring'y, bright floral projects, I decided to give a few of them a try.
The first project was a floral fabric decoupage pot.
I found the Waverly fabric and pot at Walmart,
our only source for such within a hour drive.
Dug the Mod Podge out of my craft stash,
and went to work creating...
I would've preferred a solid terra cotta pot like the inspiration piece,
but all that were available had solid color rims.
No biggie, it worked out fine.
I "copied" one other of the 14 projects, from The Snug's collaborative,
creating my own explosion of spring florals, regardless of the chilly weather!
But I'll give you a heads up, it wasn't the shoes.
Cute,
{and I do have a slight obsession with shoes},
but these were a little out of my comfort zone! :)

but these were a little out of my comfort zone! :)
I'll share it soon!
Hopefully in the meantime, I'll be playing with some real "florals,"
planting my container gardens!
Thanks for stopping in...
Hope ya'll have a great week!
~Rhonda

That is so pretty! Was it easy enough to make? The weather is driving me crazy, too. I can't wait for Spring!

What a great idea! When you buy a pot that is already decorated they are outrageously expensive. Love this idea. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful job you did decorating the pot and such pretty fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this at Cooking and Crafting with J&J.
This is amazing!
ReplyDeleteMy Mod Podge is probably petrified at the back of my craft cabinet.
You have inspired me- I will just buy more!

I have never Mod-Podge'd fabric...but then again, I'm not very crafty! Beautiful fabric pattern you chose for the plant pot.

ReplyDeleteThat pot is just too cute, Rhonda! Such a great idea....you could create adorable pots for any and all seasons! Those shoes would be sweet, since floral shoes are pretty popular this year.
