I don't do a lot of decorating for Halloween,
(practically zip)
but several years ago, I did assemble the cute Not So Spooky Spider Buckets,
filled with candy, for Mr. Ramblings' Sales Rep to distribute.

Did you know...
There are around 40,000 different species of spiders.
A "daddy-long-legs"
isn't really a spider.
Some spiders can live up to 30 years.
Spiders cannot die of natural causes.
Are present on an American Dollar Bill!
Where?
Hidden in the front upper right hand corner.

Spiders are found on every continent,
...except Antarctica.

While Spiders are usually known for their webs,
they can also weave a wind-sailing "parachute,"
capable of taking them high above the world below.

And abandoned spider webs are called cobwebs,
which are usually pretty spooky.
But not these super cute glittered spiders!
Not so spooky at all, huh?!?
I did find the metal pumpkin set, below, at a thrift shop a couple of weeks ago.
The largest one is 10" tall, and all three pieces were $10... what a deal!
They will be perfect to light the way up my porch
for the little ghosts and goblins that come by Saturday night for treats!

Do you still have trick or treaters in your area?
Hope your Halloween weekend is anything but frightful! :)

I love your buckets...those are adorable! And interesting facts about spiders...which I detest, but not as much as snakes...LOL. LOVE those metal pumpkins....those are just too cute for Halloween!! And yes, we do still get the kiddos running amok in the neighborhood...LOL. I had about 200 last year...not sure about this year though. Hope you have a fabulous Halloween!! Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Rhonda! Your buckets are so sweet-and I LOVE those metal pumpkins! What a great find! As for the spiders-EEEK! I'm not a fan-but how fascinating to know there is one on our dollar bill! Now I have to go look! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWE live in a 55 plus community so no trick or treaters here. BUT, we have an awesome party at the clubhouse Fri. night then Sat. we will go to our daughters to help take our granddaughter trick or treating!! Your buckets are wonderful and I love those pumpkins!!! STEAL!!!!
ReplyDeleteSpiders don't scare me as much as they fascinate me. That is, as long as they don't get on me! Your version is cuter than any spider I've seen around here. What a great gift item!
ReplyDeleteAdorable spiders and buckets!!
ReplyDeleteYour buckets are precious...and YOUR spiders (I don't like spiders) are adorable!!!
