There's nothing like revamping our look
to make us feel beautiful again, right? ;)
What's the old saying,
"If the barn needs painting, paint it!"
My blog was in dire need of a makeover.
It's amazing how much as changed in blogging since I returned
after just a year.
I love the creative part of blogging,
but the technical parts... not so much!
So... did you notice...
My blog has a new look!
...thanks to Adrien from Eclair Designs.
Not sure where to find new digs for my blog,
on a whim, I checked etsy and found Adrien and her etsy shop.
She offered installation services as well, which I took advantage of!
Adrien was quick, patient with this tech non-savvy blogger,
...and I absolutely love it!

And speaking of makeovers...
a couple of weeks ago, while shopping along the 301 Endless Yard Sale, in NC,
I found this bamboo pattern lamp.
The yellow was nice, but not the right color for my home.
The lamp was sprayed a pretty coral,
and topped with a new burlap linen shade from Lowe's,
perfect for one of the bedrooms at the lake house.
Excuse the picture quality,
taken with my ipad in less than ideal lighting.
We don't have a lot of knick knacks on the tables at the lake.
The home rents weekly during most of the summer,
and we try to keep things attractive but simple and minimal.
Getting ready to leave our little piece of paradise,
we have renters coming tomorrow...
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Rhonda! Oh, I'm so glad you popped in to see me! I love the new look of your blog! So pretty! Now you really did a beautiful job on that lamp. Love the color and the new shade. Isn't it amazing what a little paint can do? Oh, your lake place has the most beautiful view! I'm sure you enjoy it when you go there. Yes, we've made a great big change in the last year and we're loving it! :) Pop back in again and I'll be back to see you too.

Your blog looks fabulous! Very clean and fresh looking. As for the lamp, I had to laugh because I inherited that same lamp (in yellow) from my husband's grandmother several years ago. I ended up painting mine a light tan color, but now that I see your coral color . . . I may be painting it again!
ReplyDeleteRhonda, So glad to see you back! I love he look of your blog!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look (blog and lamp!). Oh my goodness - your lake view is spectacular. I want to rent your place! :-)
