Precious Angels

My heart is so heavy...
{as are most others' across our nation}.

The senseless tragedy that ripped through Sandy Hook School
in Newtown, CT,
taking the lives of twenty-six precious beings...

How could it be?

Twenty of them,
precious tiny, little angels...

How sad,
that we live in such a fallen world.

At the gas station this morning,
"Someday at Christmas," was playing on the overhead speaker
as I pumped gas, and I lost it,
the tears fell right there at pump #8,
thinking about those innocent ones....

"Someday At Christmas"

....Someday at Christmas there'll be no wars
When we have learned what Christmas is for
When we have found what life's really worth
There'll be peace on earth...

...Someday at Christmas man will not fail
Hate will be gone and love will prevail
Someday a new world that we can start
With hope in every heart...

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime
Someday at Christmastime.

My prayers of comfort are with the families,
those whose Christmases...
 those whose lives...
will never again be the same,

God be with them!

Psalm 34:18
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit..."
