"I don't want to work,
I just want to bang on the drum hunt junk and thrift all day,
I don't want to play,
I just want to bang on the drum paint furniture finds all day."
(adapted from "Bang On The Drum All Day," by Todd Rondgrun)
It does seem to be all I want to do these days.
And if you saw my house, that would be verified! ha!
Loads more fun than laundry and dusting!
Anyhow, I digress...
On to the post, which features the cute little nightstand I found, below,
at the Salvation Army.
It was a solid piece, but needed a lot of cosmetic TLC!
I loved it's dainty lines and features, and immediately had visions of pink and white to transform it!

To ensure the sanding would be easier and smoother,
I purchased a Black & Decker Sander.
I was long overdue and needed one for my projects.
And here she is, Little Miss Priss, all pretty and pink!
Isn't she the sweetest thing!
Paints Used:
Annie Sloan Old White
&
Glidden Pink Flamingo (WGR23) Interior Eggshell/Satin, cut with AS Old White
I sure hope some Mommy'll think she is a beaut',
and give the nightstand a new home in her little princess' room!
....real soon! :)
For now, it resides in my booth!

I always say that having to go to work just gets in the way of everything else i want do to in life but having to go to work always me to do everything else I want to do in life!!
Hugs,
Deb
She is definately a cutie! I will bet she won't be around for very long. I have one very similiar and I just may have to copy you.
ReplyDeleteI love how you just accented it with the pink and didn't do it all pink. This way it's so much easier for someone to match it to their princesses room. Wish I lived closer bz it would be coming home with me to my three little princesses room! Bravo!!
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you, I looked at the before and thought "What was she thinking"? Then I saw the after and thought "Why can't I have that vision"? It's just adorable now and anyone would love to have it. Very cute project!!!

Love the pastel pink and white on this nightstand. I have one to redo too, still trying to make my mind up whether to use pink/white or light green/white.
