Tiptoe Through the Tulips...

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Although I'm not a big fan of Tiny Tim,
I can say that I take great delight in beautiful Tulips.
{The sounds of an ukulele and words of Tiptoe Through the Tulips just happen to be stuck in my head! ha!}

Nothing says Spring to me like

Tulips,

 Daffodils,

and Goldenrod.

By process of elimination, noone else wanted the job,
I was elected Chairman of our Church Flower Committee Team this year.
For a new church arrangement,
I shopped Old Time Pottery and found just the flowers to create a springy and fresh arrangement.

Also found the beautiful clear crystal urn, below at the Pottery.

To hide the unsightly stems of the flowers and the floral foam, moss was added.

And below, the arrangement complete....

From a distance, the flowers appear real,
...and the ushers thought so, offering Thanks for them during the Offertory Prayer.  "smiles"

On another floral note...

The live camellias below, came from my Grandmother B's yard.
She is no longer with us, but her legacy lives on in a few remaining beautiful gardens around her home.
The camellias were picked from bushes that were planted by her over 80 years ago.

Just wanted to say "Thanks" for all the sweet comments
that were left on my last post during my blogging break!

I'm anxious to explore blogland,
to see the explosion of Spring I'm sure is displayed beautifully in many blogs.
And as soon as I conquer the (pollen) dust that seems to have taken over my house,
I'll be posting my Easter decor.

....stay tuned!

  7. Gorgeous flowers. I certainly wished you lived closer bz I'd hire you to do Kaje's bridal bouquet. We don't need any other flowers due to it being an outside venue with beautiful landscaping but I'm a bit stumped on what she wants for her bridal bouquet. Oh well, I have two months to think about it....gulp! Only a little over two months, I can't believe it.
