Live or Artificial???
Which do you prefer?
Out of 5 trees in our home,
{we actually downsized by two this year}
this is our one live tree!
For several years, we had a 12' artificial pre-lit tree in this area.
But with age came the loss of lights, and it required days of assembly for all the decorations.
I've enjoyed having a smaller live tree, and as a bonus, it has been very fragrant this year!
A few shots of the festivity surrounding the tree in the Music Cove...
The Christmas'y Piano Vignette
Vignette atop a small China Cabinet...
The needlepoint pillow was found at an antique store in Tryon, NC.
Great little antique mall --- more on that later!

...The Lord Has Come! |
Didn't get around to decorating the banisters and railings this year, but I'm okay with that, too!
And the blue-bottom tennis shoes in the picture, below.... they make me smile!
They are a reminder, my daughter is home from college
and our family is together for Christmas! :)
Let The Celebrating Begin!

Your home looks absolutely beautiful and I am jealous of the live tree. I lived 30 years in AZ and found it was just too dry for the real thing and converted to fake. Now I'm in CA and continued to use a fake tree, but put a live wreath on my front door around the first of December.
ReplyDeleteOh ... it is pretty much dead. I guess I'll have to go fake there too.

Lovely vignettes!
ReplyDeleteYour tree topper if fabulous.

Your home is beautiful and I love your Christmas decorations! Beautiful live tree you have there too! We have one live tree in our den and the rest are artificial. Again, your home is lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas...your home is so beautiful...and nothing like a real tree!
ReplyDeleteRhonda, your Christmas decor is so pretty, and I am just downright jealous of that real tree! I didn't do nearly what I normally do as far as decorations, and I am ok with it all. I surely will be ok when it comes to taking everything down and hauling it back upstairs. Again, everything here is so pretty. LOVE the zebra print ribbon :)
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Rhonda. I would love to do a live tree again. Besides being pretty, they smell so good!
ReplyDeleteLOVE all of your decorations! We do a live tree and the kids have artificial in their rooms, plus one in the office... which they have yet to decorate! ha!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks absolutely beautiful! We have one live tree and the rest are "faux". :-) Just can't beat the smell of a real tree and tromping through the woods to cut it down. Thanks so much for sharing all of your lovely decor with us at Inspiration Friday!
