Ashley, my daughter,
is a self-proclaimed sufferer of
OCD,
Obsessive Christmas Disorder!
{I have no idea where she got that from...
hereditary perhaps??? ha}
Anyhow,
she has been on Christmas overdrive since she got home for Christmas break,
and improvised a 25 days of Christmas Activities
from others she pinned on Pinterest,
for David and Wesley.
Ashley made individual slips for 25 various Christmas Activities
and secured them around mini-chocolate bars.
The candy was a bribe
for the boys to participate! :)
Below, is a list of the Activities they'll be participating in.
One activity is pulled each day, sort of like Advent countdown.
25 Days of Christmas
• Family game night
• Start a new tradition of making Christmas ornaments.
• Participate in Angel Tree or another charity drive where you and your family get a chance to give to others.
• Movie night with favorite Christmas treats. Actually, Christmas movies all month long!! :)
• Visit a Living Nativity.
• Decorate a gingerbread house.
• Play bingo with dollar store prizes.
• Make a Christmas card for a soldier.
(If you don't know a soldier you can mail a Christmas card to Holiday Mail for Heroes,
P.O. Box 5456, Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456)
• Bake a Christmas treat one day
and the following day, visit an elderly relative or church member who needs encouragement,
delivering the treats to them.
• Make snow globes
• Hot chocolate and S'mores party
• Breakfast for dinner
• Drive around and look at lights in your community
• Drive around and look at lights in a nearby city (x 3)
• Have a cookie decorating party.
• Let the kids open a present on Christmas Eve -- new pajamas!
{Not only is this a fun tradition,
but it ensures they will be dressed in cute PJ's for Christmas morning pictures.}

Ashley started on December 3rd, so she didn't have 25 activities,
but going Christmas Caroling,
reading the Christmas Story,
reading the Night Before Christmas,
and singing/acting out the 12 Days of Christmas would be great fillers, too!
And just a little FYI,
the arrangement on the kitchen table
was created with water-soaked Oasis Foam
and fresh greens from the yard.
The basket and gingerbread dish were both yard sale finds.
The basket was an old homemade strawberry picking basket,
and was $1.00
Gingerbread dish, ...$2.00!
The burlap table runner was one of my weekend finds at "Nest."
