My Shingle is Hung

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

As of today, I am officially the current resident
of Booth #100

I've hung my shingle,
Bello Market
and now hope to sell, sell, sell....

My booth doesn't really have a theme or target market.

Just junk
...some old and antique
 ...some retro, vintage
 ...and some more current pieces.

The pegboard walls and red "barn door" divider were already up in the booth
and I couldn't paint either, unfortunately.

But I do plan to add some grapevines across the rafters,
and hang an old wood sign overhead.

Random shots....
Excuse the quality, they were taken with my cell phone.

The bag of loose vintage buttons, on the table below,
 may have been my first sale after I left!
{Fingers crossed...}

Had a lot of interest in the oil painting below...

And the Needlepoint Chair caught many an eye...

The red table below, purchased at an auction Saturday,
was painted last night and touched up this morning
 with Annie Sloan's Emperor's Silk (red).
I considered breaking out the hair dryer to speed the drying process!
Desperate times --- Desperate measures! ha!

And since I am an avid reader,
books are plentiful to pass on once read.
{For a small price, of course.}

Side Note...
See the book, Night Road, by Kristin Hannah?
Super good read!!!

Hoping that I do well!
I enjoy the hobby of junkin'
and the thrill of the hunt is intoxicating!

Not looking to get rich, just support my habit!
Do I hear an amen from the fellow junkers out there?!? "smiles"

  5. Good luck in this adventure. Your booth looks lovely. I used to have a booth at a large antique mall years ago. I have also been trying to contact you, but just realized my email for you said "no reply blogger". Hugs, Kim (khites@iccgh.com)
