A Very Merry Christmas - Home Tour Part Two

Saturday, December 24, 2016

Nothing like waiting 'til Christmas Eve to share part two of my home decorated for Christmas, right?  ;)  Several weeks ago I participated in The Holiday Home Tour Blog Hop, featuring the foyer and living room, "Welcoming Our Guests At Christmas."

For part two, let's start in the kitchen, the hubbub of my home...

The angel, still a favorite of mine, was an upcycled project from last year.  Found the old wood piece for $3, at a thrift store in Cary, NC.  It was in really rough shape, but with a little Annie Sloan Old White Chalk Paint and vintage recycled pieces, the angel was restored to a beaut!

Borrowed a vintage Coleman cooler from Mr. Rambling's stash...

Another thrift shop find, ...isn't he a cutie?

The bobbing metal Santa was bought the first Christmas we were in our home, twelve years ago.  I never tire of the sweet jolly fella!

My daughter, Ashley's, annual gingerbread house...

Other random shots from around the house...

More of the dining room can be seen {here}.

The real reason for the season...

My once fun, whimsical tree with bright red and green traditional colors took on a new identity this year... quite by happenstance. Found some great woodsy type and plaid ornaments on sale New Years Day last year at Dillards and Lowes Home Improvement. Loving the new look!

I'm off to finish wrapping a few last presents...
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
~Rhonda :)
