A cute, trendy knob
can update most any piece of furniture,
about as well as just the right piece of jewelry can
perfectly beautify an outfit, wouldn't you say?
And there are many inexpensive options available now,
at stores such as Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Anthropologie.
I bought these tables from a friend for $20 each.
They were old family pieces,
but over the years, had gotten in pretty rough shape
and were no longer used.
I fell in love with the cow head knob found at Hobby Lobby,
and thought it would be perfect for the more rustic table.
I was thrilled to be able to save the natural wood top of the red bottom table.
All it needed, was a good sanding, a coat of stain, and poly to seal.

Unfortunately the wood top of the more intricately designed table
was too damaged, and couldn't be salvaged.
But it turned out to be a sweet little piece painted Annie Sloan Old White
and Provence, sealed with AS Clear Wax.
The vintage crystal looking knob also came from Hobby Lobby.
Both of the tables were sold in my former booths,
and didn't last long before finding a new home!

Holy cow those are such pretty tables! I'm not at all surprised that they didn't last long in your booth. I'd would have had a hard time choosing. Great job, Rhonda!

ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda. I love this! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment on my blog recently! Funnily enough, I was just reading up on how to cut a plastic toy in half and gild it with gold paint or gold leaf to create a knob just like this. Just in case you want to replicate your project ;-) Love, Mimi xxx
