Revisiting Fall From Yesteryears

Friday, August 28, 2015

One wonderful thing about blogging
is that you have a record of what you have done in seasons past.
...and I often forget!

So I invite you to take a trip down Memory Lane,
amidst orange and cream colored pumpkins, burnt umber leaves,
and harvest yellows, spanning over the last several years.

I almost bought real pumpkins Tuesday,
but wasn't sure what sizes and how many I needed.
Can you believe they're already available?

The piano top decorated two different ways, for two different years...

The second...

The creations below, Jack 'em Up Pumpkins,
put me on the "Pinterest Map," so to speak!
They by far, still draw the most traffic from Pinterest to my blog.

The next two pictures are the only ones I can find
from last fall on my Ipad,
a mum in a vintage ironstone chamber pot that a friend
and former fellow vendor at CCPM gave me,
and the outdoor scene.

I was taking a break from blogging at the time,
but I'm certain I did more.
...I think... ha!

I bought the vintage John Deere Hay Rake, below,
at an auction about 3 1/2 hours from home.
For $100, you can bet I wasn't passing it up!
But... I had no way to haul it home.
I called my husband after I won the bid,
and asked how he would like to take
a little road trip in the next day or two!  :)

It's hard to focus on fall
when the temps and high humidity have yet to lighten up.

But I'm so ready to decorate, and sitting on go!
How about ya'll?
~Rhonda  :)

  1. Oh, honey! You've just got the decor touch and everything you do looks wonderful! You have some great fall vignettes from the past and I can't wait to see what you do this year! I haven't even started thinking about it much but I better because fall will be here soon. Glad you're back!
    be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  2. You have great ideas and so many pretty things from year to year. I always struggle at this point because it's not any part of fall here but it is in blog land. So much inspiration to see though.

  3. I LOVE pumpkins! Your vignettes are fabulous! I especially love the white ones gathered around the champagne bucket and the painted pretties!

  5. This is such a fantastic post! it makes me want to get started decorating for fall ... my favorite season! Thanks for sharing such beautiful ideas!

  6. Beautiful fall touches! I love looking back to see what I've done in years past to decorate and often find I sure have been using a lot of the same decor for a long time! Since it's almost September I can understand pumpkins being available but Christmas? It's been in stores for a month now, I think that's crazy!
    Have a great weekend!

  7. I am loving the JD Hay Rake. What a lovely find. Love all your autumn touches to your home too! Mr hanks for stopping by my blog today.

  8. Rhonda,
Gorgeous inspirational Autumnal home decor, dear one!!!
The white pumpkin display on your piano is exquisite!!!
    Thanks for sharing and inspiring!!!

  9. I'm loving following what you Southern ladies are up to over there! As an Aussie, and one that lives in the tropics at that, we don't see the changes of the seasons. It's green and more green, with about six weeks of nippy in Winter! Not a bad thing, but sometimes I long to see Autumn foliage and snow. Love, Mimi xxx

  10. Oh thanks for sharing this. I love your Rooster lamp. The white pumpkins are so pretty.
Come over and party with me and link this one too!
