Pink Butterflies...

Butterflies just exemplify Spring,

don'tcha think???

As part of our Easter desserts,

and because kids just love cupcakes,

that's what we decided to make.

I gathered supplies to make butterflies for cupcake decorations.

-Two shapes of pretzels

Traditional and Straight

-Pink Candy Melts

-& White Candy Sprinkles 

The Candy Melts were melted in the mircrowave...

And the pretzels dipped in the melted pink candy, and covered with sprinkles... 

Now here's a pretty cute story....

The Butterflies,

 or maybe they were intended to be dragonflies...oh well...

just didn't look quite right.

As Ashley and I were working on them, and I fretting a little over their appearance,

 told her that I'd seen the picture of them days ago, but couldn't remember where.

Slight fib....Lord forgive me!!!

The picture just happened to be in a cook book, in the bottom of her Easter Basket,

which I couldn't tell  her about, or even get to.

And my memory wasn't serving me correctly! ha!

On Easter morning, we looked at the cook book as I told her the whole story

and realized this was how they were to be made....

Anyhow, the kids loved them, and they were quite tasty!

Ashley made, frosted, and decorated the cupcakes.

Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp,

 but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.
